Primm, Nevada, on the California-Nevada border features two golf courses that have recently been improved.
Golfers who enjoy playing the Primm Valley Golf Club on the Nevada-California border should be pleased to learn that the Lakes Course has reopened after a recent enhancement project, the first major undertaking since the club opened in 1997. The project was later joined by the Desert Course in 1998. Both courses were designed by Tom Fazio. The courses are 35 miles south of Las Vegas and demonstrate Fazio's belief that a golf course should reflect the natural beauty of its setting. The Lakes course is an 18-hole championship course playing 6,945 yards with a par of 71. It features rolling fairways, an extensive lake and river system, acres of pine trees and native vegetation. The enhancement project included a redesign and restructure of the greens, more maintenance around the tee boxes, and an upgrade to fairways and the irrigation system. The Desert Course's landscape, which also recently received upgrades to tee boxes and fairways, is accented with cacti, palm trees and native grasses. The 18-hole championship course is 7,131 yards and is a par 72. Guests can reserve tee times by calling 702-679-5510. For information, log on to www.primmvalleygolf.com. |
